Well, the answer is yes it will. Many people believe that keeping your house at a constant temperature saves money when in fact it don’t. When you lower your temperature 5 to 10 degrees at night or when no one is home it can save you up to 20 percent on your annual heating bill. But do watch which programmable thermostat you get and make sure its not to confusing.


Wal-Mart to sell only concentrated Laundry detergent.

Wednesday, Wal-Mart Stores Inc. said that it will only sell concentrated liquid laundry detergent in the U.S. The worlds biggest retailer says this will save 400 million gallons of water, 95 million pounds of plastic and 125 million pounds of cardboard. By doing this the company will also cut fuel cost due to less weight. This will also make a difference in the amount of garbage going into land fills.


Celebrating 200 years. But how to do it?

What would be the celebration of Lincoln’s 200th Birthday is coming in 2009. Along with the 100th anniversary of when the Lincoln penny was first minted. To commemorate this event the U.S. mint is introducing four rotating designs for the penny. All depicting different aspects of his life. All the designs will show up on the “tails” side of the coin. The “heads” side is to remain the now famous profile of Lincoln.


To keep or not to keep open credit cards without a balance.

Regardless what many people might think it is actually good to keep credit cards without a balance open. Closing the account out could actually hurt your credit score. If there is an annual fee and you are definitely not using the card then by all means do close the account. If your account is an old account then do keep it open. Older accounts actually give you a better score.
