Too Costly

To heat your home it costs at least $200.00 a month, and that is if you keep your heat to a temperature that you still have to wear socks and use blankets. I cannot stand paying to be warm, it seems really rude that these companies can actually shut off people’s heat if they do not pay, leaving them cold and probably sick as well. The government really needs to step in on these companies to make sure they are not getting much of a profit from heat. Electricity is a whole different thing that you can control more, but you cannot control the weather and the need for heat!

Does your home need a programable thermostat to save you money?

Well, the answer is yes it will. Many people believe that keeping your house at a constant temperature saves money when in fact it don’t. When you lower your temperature 5 to 10 degrees at night or when no one is home it can save you up to 20 percent on your annual heating bill. But do watch which programmable thermostat you get and make sure its not to confusing.

To keep or not to keep open credit cards without a balance.

Regardless what many people might think it is actually good to keep credit cards without a balance open. Closing the account out could actually hurt your credit score. If there is an annual fee and you are definitely not using the card then by all means do close the account. If your account is an old account then do keep it open. Older accounts actually give you a better score.
