The FCC has mandated newer, more expensive set-top boxes, and the cable companies aren’t going to just absorb the cost, they’re going to pass them on to their customers. We have satellite, actually, but I still can’t stand the fact that we pay a set amount each month for over 100 channels, but only watch around 20 of them.
