J. K. Rowling already holds the record of fastest-selling book with book six in the Harry Potter series. It seems like book seven, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, will even eclipse that sales record. Borders Group, Inc., which owns Borders and Waldenbooks, sold 1.2 million copies the first day! I already finished mine - and loved it. What did you think?
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is finally out - and our questions will all be answered! Are you going to attend any HP parties? Our town bookstore isn’t having one, and dressing up and fighting crowds isn’t really my style. I pre-ordered my copy, so it should be here soon, and then I’ll be incommunicado until I finish it. I don’t want to read any spoilers online!
Wal-mart is doing its best to help consumers deal with higher gas prices. No, not even the retail giant Wal-mart can get prices to go down at the pump, but they can lower prices in their stores. They have announced that they will be lowering prices on back-to-school items, such as school supplies and children’s clothes. That should help a little.
