Liz Claiborne, fashion giant, has died at age 78 at New York Presbyterian Hospital. She had suffered from cancer for several years. She was huge in defining career women’s fashion in the 70s and 80s. She was one of the first designers to cater specifically to the working woman and career-minded female.

Pre-orders for the last installment in the Harry Potter series are up 17 percent from pre-orders of the previous book. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is due to be released July 21st, and most people can’t wait to get their hot little hands on it. I’ve already ordered my copy.
